The Dog Who Started It All
It started the day we brought Bailey home. A tri-colored beagle with floppy ears, soulful brown eyes, and an endless appetite for mischief — she immediately became the heart of our family. We couldn’t imagine life without her.
A few months after adopting her, we came across a troubling fact that we couldn’t unknow: beagles are among the most commonly used breeds in cosmetic and pharmaceutical testing labs. Their docile, trusting nature — the very thing that makes them such wonderful companions — is also what makes them targets for testing.
Looking at Bailey curled up on the couch, we felt a deep sense of responsibility. If we were going to be part of the beauty industry, we would do it differently. We would prove that effective skincare didn’t require anyone — human or animal — to suffer for it.
